This has been happening the past two weeks or soholy fucking shit. copytext just blocked me for using their hits to clear captchas! I've never actually done one!
They've said that when suspending workers, they consider the blocks on the account and the reasons. They've said that blocks for preventing retakes do not count toward suspension. But the terms "soft blocks" and "hard blocks" are terms MTurkers made up.How do we know that Amazon doesn't see a difference between a soft and hard block? Did they say so? Just because it shows just one option for requesters doesn't mean Amazon doesn't have some way of telling the difference on their end. That is unless like I said they did say something and I just wasn't around for the news.

I'd imagine the requester screwed up.Got two emails with the exact same bonus amount. Assuming I only get one of the bonuses, lol.
Greetings from Amazon Mechanical Turk,
You've received a bonus from McDermott Experiments for work related to 3LCXHSGDLTE1KVY2MHNVQI1O43QSEG.
The value of your bonus is: $3.25 USD
Yes. I'll be stopping until it's fixed.on the Michael Russo hits, i cant select the amazing option. is this happening with anyone else?
We make up a lot of things. Like good HITs. I'm pretty sure they're just a myth.Regarding why hard block vs soft block became a thing:
That was something workers made up, and enough people said it so it became "official." Until workers with requester accounts started poking around "behind the scenes" and found there was only one button. Plus lots of conversations to requesters who were confused about how to "soft block" people to prevent retakes w/out hurting them.
It's always been something workers made up and told each other over and over until it became "true."
- Me last week! lolholy fucking shit. copytext just blocked me for using their hits to clear captchas! I've never actually done one!
Speaking of, does anyone know what happened with the person who got a $100 bonus instead of a $1.00 one. the requester said they were going to reverse it but there were people who thought they could not undo a bonus once it had been given.I'd imagine the requester screwed up.
I'm betting you get both.
Now it's a moral thing if you want to tell them about it or not.
