Maybe a dumb question, but can you explain academic PTSD? I have been diagnosed with C-PTSD so I'm just trying to be understanding.
I kind of made up the concept on the spot there, but I was in an extremely long term traumatic experience regarding a professor's behavior towards me, the "system" changing halfway through the semester (thus failing me, which again, what the fuck, and telling me "I would never study or do anything with my life again") and then the educational system utterly failing to protect me from this professor and their solution to it being "just go back to being their student"
So what I mean by that is maybe not specifically testing, but any situation where there's a power differential like that there is opportunity for trauma.
Also, honestly, considering there are now countries that are banning standardized testing, I think it's plausible that it is causing more trauma to be done to kids than we are, as adults, prepared to admit.
