I sound like I have laryngitis and I haven't been outdoors since early yesterday, and I've tapes off my outside vents, but this place is not airtight.

Nothing can really be airtight unless you're surrounded by plants or you'll, basically, suffocate.

But I feel ya. I have a sore throat. We always get smoke from wildfires in this Valley. But I have never ever seen it this bad for this long in the 15 years I've been back in this godforsaken hellhole of a Valley.

We are like triple the number for "Very Unhealthy" air quality category.

tell me about it. I'm getting allergies, and I don't get allergies. back of my throat is scratchy, and I don't get sick often.

I still find they are easy though. I was managing them plus some vickys or another filler would make a reasonable rate of pay.

The one I did went to the full five minutes. All the recent ones I've done went the full five minutes.

I liked them better when they were over much faster. $3/hour sucks.

I was sitting at my desk and actually started craving a cigarette. Which I have not craved in a long while. could not figure out why, until I realized my throat feels like I just smoked a pack, so it's apparently triggering some old addiction feedback loop in my addicted brain.

If that's really true, then this kind of think has been happening for a long time.

As in many cases, we grew up in an unusual time and are shocked by normalcy when it returns.

It's probably true, and there were probably a lot more fires (maybe not as severe) before we stripped away half the forests that used to grow in CA.

However, it's probably worse now as wind patterns push all the smog this way, too. We often have cruddy air due to wind pushing other people's smog into this bowl and it getting trapped here.

its been happening forever. california has 4 seasons: flood, mud, fire and drought.
