Interesting sleep patterns you guys have. I used to sleep like a rock but lately have had some trouble falling asleep.

I'm curious what you guys consider sleep. I've always been under the assumption that you are only sleeping when you are passed out and completely lose track of time. Like you wake up 5 hours later and it feels like it could have been 10 min not 5 hours. I can enter a state of mind where my body is relaxed and I experience hypnic jerks fairly easily. But transitioning from that state of mind to completely passing out is harder for me. Am I actually sleeping during that hypnic jerk phase and should I count that towards my nightly sleep total?

Dance music / Electronic. Not sure but will probably be doing shows in Asia the first few.

I count nearly anything. 6-7 hours of full sleep, 2 hours before going to work, 20 minutes in the car while I'm out photographing trains. Anything if it keeps me going counts.
