Well, if you do end up changing your number, hopefully the procedure is as painless as it used to be. On the positive side, after I changed my #, I didn't have any more problems while I was with Verizon. I don't think this is related to the carrier, unless it is easier to spoof some carrier's numbers than others.

Usually I don't answer numbers I don't know, but today it has been hard not to answer with all the phone calls I've been getting.

Numbers are constantly recycled. I've had it happen quite a few times.
