That would be a great scene for a movie... Everyone standing around eating free pizza and just watching the first responders and telco's running around trying to untangle the mess... You can't make this stuff up.
The guy in the flatbed truck got out and went to start untangle the power lines from the portopotty and Im not really a big talker in the moment kind of guy and even I was like "uhhh dude you might not want to touch that." I dont know much about power lines but I was pretty sure I was 5 seconds away from watching a man get electrocuted to death.

Pure rage when this happens. My packages are very important to me.
There have been a few articles out- some mailmen admitted that USPS was making them fake it/lie to appease Amazon and shit b/c they're so so so goddamn behind on deliveries.

Apparently my mailman decided to go ahead and not deliver the package that is allegedly out for delivery.
Mail people are the worst!
I had that happen to me, they took it back to the post office then redelivered it like 3 days later

I thought packages/letters had always been somewhat late during high demand or bad weather times. maybe it's our expectations that have changed. we used to order something out of a printed catalog, then wait 6-12 weeks for it to be delivered.

i used to work at the Post Office as a temp during Christmas season and saw a letter laying under the dock for a solid 6 months...I even brought it up to my supervisor and his response was "I work on the dock, not under it...that's a maintenance issue" and I'm thinking "what if that's a mortgage payment or light bill or $5 bill birthday card from Granny to some poor child...sad

Amazon actually told me that in an email once. It was about an independent contractor they used for their new "Amazon Logistics" service. They gave me two free months of Prime. At this rate, I'll never have to pay from Prime again.

Here's a bit of good news someone passed onto me yesterday: Researchers who get funding for their surveys from the Russell Sage Foundation are now required to pay crowd workers a fair wage.

"Fair Payment Policy for Crowdsourcing Workers
With increasing frequency, academic researchers use crowdsourcing workers (e.g. MTurk) to complete study-related tasks. RSF requires that compensation for crowdsourcing workers be appropriate for the time and effort that they devote to their study-related task. The payment amount must be based on the minimum wage in the state where the fiscal agent for the award is located or at least $10.00, whichever is higher."
