@Kadauchi , It's still kicking me. But it does seem to wait a little longer before kicking me now that i changed the interval from 60 to 200. Might be in my head. I'm going to try and up the interval to 1000 to see if it's related to that.

Also, yes^ I believe this started happening to me to when Prolific had their website update. I don't know if it is a problem with their update and the assistant interfering or if it is strictly something on prolifics end. The only reason I would say it isn't strictly prolific is because it stops when the PA is off.

When/what did they update that started this issue? Maybe it'll help me narrow it down.

I would read the reviews. Lots of rejections mentioned on the reviews.

i'm not sure the reviews said that before i took it this morning.

woke up a few mins ago to my first rejection in months. I guess cameron cairns didnt like my straight lines total rejection number (4) and decided it needed a curvey lower half like that sexy "5".

Im going to write when i get back from the supermarket, asking if it was the item i have in mind and explaining my answer for that one.

rejecting a qual is as bs as rejecting for something like the recent survey that was flawed and provided useless data that most of you discussed a day or two ago. approve the survey because its not the workers fault the requester screwed up or cut corners and approve all qual attempts but do not issue the qual for the main task if the qual work did not meet the requesters expectations.

I had a website update on Prolific yesterday and have been having trouble submitting and getting logged out ever since. I don't use PA since I just leave a tab open. It is definitely on their end.

Do you know how I can tell if I got the update or if I'm still using the old version?

I got the update and mine looks the same as yours, the update happened, but it didn't really change the look of the webpage. Probably just some bug fix.

I had a problem with my nuke hit as well. mTurk logged me out as I submitted so it cleared the page of my code and I had to copy my password so lost it. I wrote a note so hoping for the best. I think I remembered it correctly but who knows.

I got a response back from them earlier, but I had already finished the second one so no big deal. Did they get back to you?


@katarina J @John Potter - I got the email for Econ while I was at the doctor's office so I missed the first one, but got the second one after I got home. Another person on my team missed the first one too, so I don't feel too bad.

I can not remember the exact day of the last update. I feel like it was between sunday and tuesday. I don't see anywhere that has some sort of change log to confirm that (also nothing under support). Let me know if you can think of somewhere I could look to narrow down that information.

I don't really see any changes except maybe the account menu hover looks different, graphic wise. But they had updated it about 3 days before this last update that caused problems so the menu appearance could have happened then or anytime really - I can not confirm it was the most recent update. But other than that everything looks the same.

The last time before this week they had an update was back on thanksgiving, and that was just to have a thanksgiving logo for festive aesthetics for the day. I remember this because I thought when I clicked the 'refresh for update' popup it would be something in the same vein. But this time the changes weren't so apparent.


@coffeeowl the 'refresh for update' is a little button that popups on the right hand side of the top menu bar on the main page every once in a while. Mine looks like yours does now. If you aren't seeing it, you probably restarted your computer or something and it refreshed automatically. I have a bad habit of leaving mine on.


EDIT: *also, upping the interval time to 1000 has proportionately increased the amount of time before it kicks me out.

I'm still fairly new to all of this and am trying to figure out when is the best time to come on? I normally am on either after lunch (son goes down for a nap) or later at night when he goes down for bed. For whatever reason I am having a hard time finding good paying HITs. Any one have any tips?
