Seriously, if I ran mturk, I would have at least one person whose ONLY job would be to be an EXPERT on what workers (of every level, from fraudster to casual to moneymaker to badass) actually do. And I'd have someone whose job it is to be an EXPERT on what requesters actually do (and requesters of every type, and from atrocious to excellent). Both jobs would require actual research on the actual world. Does mturk have these people? I don't know, but I'm guessing not.

Does anybody know what could be causing a HIT page to open when I click on pandas from this thread and then just close immediately? I turned off Panda Crazy to see if that was affecting it, and restarted Firefox, but it is still doing it.

You are clicking on the new add panda to Panda Crazy buttons which opens a new window and then closes it a second after but the hit will be added to Panda Crazy running. You need to click on the accept or panda links and not the buttons if you want to grab it without adding it to PC. The Panda Crazy Helper script is adding those buttons.

That's the thing.. It didn't matter which accepts I clicked on.. the pages would vanish.. I made sure NOT to click on the new ones... I even checked the urls and on some of them I clicked on the requester name or the hit title. I have no idea what crazy things are going on.

I'm guessing they put in some new variable that gets tripped to ON when you request a HIT that isn't currently available, and then mturk reports an error for any page you request (for some set time). That fits with my experience, at least.
