It was acceptable, no rubberiness though it did feel a little tough. Still tasted fine though.

Even if the mashed potatoes didn't turn out well, I hope at least the slow roasted beef wasn't rubbery this time.

I resent this. As a born and raised midwesterner I eat my meat rare, my vegetables fresh, whole grain bread....and boxed mac n cheese....

I've actually reversed the boiling chain all the way up to my grandma - my mom and grandma both roast now! (at least for things like asparagus where it really really counts)

Nice! My brother who used to work in restaurants with me does them properly but the rest are lost causes I'm afraid. Unless I cook for them.
