Ha! Yeah, I've learned that while families are great for confidence boosting, they're not exactly helpful for actually cleaning up the story. It's definitely not required but I liked it because I didn'th ave to delete previous work (and the comments that came with it) to post new chapters. Nearly all the crits I got were incredibly useful, the only one that wasn't was someone who just did not fit the books demographics which meant the story didn't really sit right with him.Thank you so much!!! That is very helpful! I mostly just show my work to my husband and he isn't a very reliable critic....I think he's scared....I can't imagine why....
I sort of lost my train of thought, I know I had a point here.
edit: Speaking of NaNo, their forums are pretty active during NaNoWriMo and sometimes splinter off and keep in contact throughout the year.
