I am ashamed to admit that when I was younger I leered but I learned a lot over the years. Some people never grow up. Seeing how women in my life dealt with it and how it affected them really opened my eyes. Now I have a 13 year old daughter and have to deal with not only dudes being crude to her but a school district that uses rulers to measure skirt length and gives her detention for a bra strap showing but doesn't do anything about dudes wearing tank tops with cut out arm pits down to their waist. Oh, and they tried to suspend her for dying her hair an 'unnatural' color last year until I threatened to sue the shit out of the district.

Someone that works with Matt called me honey the FIRST TIME I ever met him, in a bar, after he took a very extended and obvs look down my top (which, he's 6'6" and I'm 4'9", so this is easy to do and I don't care that much, but he was being a shit). I politely asked him not to call me honey please, cause he's not my boyfriend and all that. Matt nodded next to me, cause I'm not a fan of being called honey at all, but defintiely not by a stranger I had never met. He promptly and loudly called me a bitch. He then kept going. And going. I was basically Lady Satan. He's since forgotten he hated me because he's been so drunk every time he's been an idiot to me. He has re-introduced himself to me twice in 8 months.

He's the housemate of Matt's good friend and I've cock blocked this guy every single chance I've had, which is very easy to do cause he tells blatant lies to the chicks he's trying to bone (for instance- he claims he's a design engineer but is a shop guy, and there's nothing wrong with that, but why even lie?!). Matt always nods and says, " As is your right. As is your right."

goodness. I've always been super shy so I don't really socialize, which is why I've probably never had anything like that happen to me. The only thing I can really think of is someone asked for my number when I was working at walmart and I told him I was engaged (I had a ring and everything). He said something along the lines of "we don't have to tell him, I'm looking for fun". I of course told him no and he said I hurt his feelings and shouldn't be so rude. I was completely bewildered and just kind of laughed.
