So my brother told me today that he looked at the water test information from the county today and there are traces of lead in the water.

We've been drinking bottled water mostly except for him. he drinks fridge water most often. I'm also worried about cooking with it now and bathing in it. My parents house across the street has a reverse osmosis filter, that comment is more a reminder for me to google if that gets rid of lead when I come back to my computer in a few minutes.

Comments? Advice? Anecdotal stories? Filter recommendations?

@Sondi is 100% correct. If reverse osmosis filtration is too expensive or not practical, then carbon (aka activated charcoal) filtration does a pretty good job of removing lead from water. Even simple Brita Longlast Filters are really effective at trapping enough lead that the water is safe to drink.

I have that qual, but don't like the HITs. Those were very hard to catch back when those were posted more regularly.

Never noticed these were qualled until your post. I'm not crazy about them myself. And who the hell is paying this money for interpretations of stick figure emotions? No theater department has that kind of cash these days.

I haven't even thought about that. I wonder what percentage of mine are still out. I had the link to the site saved before I switched pc's. I have actually enjoyed this hit, I'm sure the pay did not hurt. I'm a researcher at heart and have done tons more for far less.
