Any time you have a metal enclosure heated under high pressure, it's dangerous, regardless of the safeguards employed. Enclosed+heat=pressure, and pressure can get away from you remarkably fast. Hense, spaghetti on the ceiling. You follow the rules. I used 2 huge pressure cookers for years with no problems. I never left them alone. I watched the gauges. My mom used several smaller ones to sterilize jars for jam. I needed the larger size to sterilize larger jars for sowing orchid seeds. We were pressure cooking fools!
Yeah, that does make a lot of sense :)

I think there are reasons people like the instant pot over a standard pressure cooker, though, from what I've read. So not sure it's just a gimmick but I could be wrong. And honestly, even if I followed the 'rules' for using a pressure cooker, the inconvenience of watching it + the fact it can explode is more than enough of a deterrent for me lol. I prefer my cooking easy and pain free. Where is Jaded @Jaded and her "preferences yo" :p

Attention check, robot check, age check, gender check, income check, politics check...
Makes you wonder at what point researchers will check their data quality and realize that all the extra checks have made no measurable difference because bots doing surveys is fake news.

I thought there was nothing worse than candy corns and their nasty little pumpkin-shaped cohorts.

I was wrong. That makes twice this year.
I like candy corn, the Brach's kind at least, but those pumpkins are weird even before they go stale.

I just rebooted my computer, and a pressure cooker blew up
Hehe. They say that a computer can't actually blow up, but it happens in the movies, so....I often wonder when I turn the thing on if it's going to immolate itself right in front of me.With me, no doubt screaming, ''Don't do that!''....'cause those are the secret words that prevent things from happening...after the fact.

For a more in depth explanation no one asked for, here's a chunk of HTML provided in the default survey template requesters are given:
Code:
<div class="panel panel-default">
<div class="panel-body"><label>1. What is your gender? </label>

<div class="radio"><label><input name="Gender" required="" type="radio" value="Female" />Female </label></div>

<div class="radio"><label><input name="Gender" required="" type="radio" value="Male" />Male </label></div>

<div class="radio"><label><input name="Gender" required="" type="radio" value="Other" />Prefer not to say </label></div>
</div>
</div>
It looks likes this:

They copy this code and paste it to write a similar question:

Code:
<div class="panel panel-default">
<div class="panel-body"><label>1. What is your favorite color? </label>

<div class="radio"><label><input name="Gender" required="" type="radio" value="Blue" />Blue </label></div>

<div class="radio"><label><input name="Gender" required="" type="radio" value="Yellow" />Yellow </label></div>

<div class="radio"><label><input name="Gender" required="" type="radio" value="Red" />Red </label></div>
</div>
</div>
Notice the input name is left the same.

Clicking a bubble on the bottom will now replace the top bubble, as they are all tied to the same value.
If people were to explain things clearly like you did here learning to code would become a lot easier. :):):)

I never cooked actual food in a pressure cooker. To me the taste of slow simmered roast in a iron pot in the oven is far superior to steamed meat. Even a slow cooker lacks something for roast beef and potatoes with onions and carrots...Humm, maybe a little gravy made of the drippings.....I might have to go to the store.
