it sucks so bad! The only place I can get books in my town is Goodwill or a church-run thrift store. The thrift store is my favorite because I've gotten almost the entire Outlander series for a quarter apiece, and the bindings hadn't even been broken in yet!
Everyone should also be aware of Abe Books, they're all discounted and cheap shipping.

Nearly all my books are used books but heck I can be at a bookstore in 5 minutes tops lol

Most libraries have either an area where they sell old books or a quarterly or seasonal sale of old books and donations they get. Usually the organization in charge of it is called friends of the library. At my old library, if you paid I think $5 for an annual membership, you could go into the sale the day before everyone else. I would come out with boxes full of books. There would be people loading up carts, it was crazy.
We have a Friends of the Library here. My mom would get romance novels from it, lol.
I love real books, but a kindle is better for me to have.

I should see if we have one of those nearby, sounds like my kind of book store lol
they're amazing. you can also turn in your books for in-store credit, and they give pretty good deals. Not like gamestop. lol

oh wow! I didn't know that. I don't think we have that here, although the library does have a few permanent racks set up with all kinds of books and dvds they've pulled from circulation that are a quarter apiece. gotten some good ones from there, too.

I've looked into Abes but never bought from there because I wasn't sure if they were trustworthy. good to know they are. And yeahhh 99% of my books are used.

Dude almost every book I needed for college (I went to college for approximately forever and have a writing degree which = lots and lots and lots of reading) came from Abe books! I had an issue with a book not showing up a few months ago and the seller refunded me no questions. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

what's Friends of the Library? and man, I wish I could read ebooks. I used to have a Kindle but for some reason i can't absorb anything I read in ebook format. I'll be super into it while reading, then I'll go do something else and have 0 idea what I had been reading. It's super inconvenient :(

honestly I don't remember, my ex gave it to my for my birthday but he took it when he left because he's an ass. :shifty:
That sucks! ..... And your ex is an ass!

wooow I wish I had known about that when I was still in college. One semester I paid $800 for 2 digital copies with access codes that expired in a year and 1 used hardback. Couldn't make that shit up.

I got lucky and a professor told me in like freshman year community college to keep the heck out of the bookstore and order from Abe, BUT, they were all literary and literary criticism sooo idk how well it'd translate to non English/Lit/Writing majors lol

Just caught this $7 heather.
anyone have a time?
I just finished it a little while ago. It's 95% reading but some of the content isn't good. Like a bus full of punctuation collided with an 18 wheeler full of words on the freeway. Then caught on fire.

EDIT: I forgot to answer the question. You can complete it fairly quick if you stay focused on the task and hide your correction pen. No exact time though because I didn't have the thing turned on.

I can't say for sure since I screened out but I think the target audience for this hit is going to be a little slippery.
