Looks like a severe line of weather on approach. Guessing it was wind shear caused by the storm. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cn58iVuzBY&feature=youtu.be

I think it's some kind of pilot error or mechanical failure. The squall line-like weather feature was a ways away and Atlas Air wasn't quite to the navigation waypoint where ATC would start vectoring the aircraft around the weather. That Atlas Air abrupt left turn is far different that the approaches of aircraft before and after Atlas Air.

Anyone here do the Aristo: Construct What-ifs from a science paragraph HITs? I did one last night and was approved within an hour, but not sure if I can do more than one?

Did you ever get an answer on this? Mine got approved and it seemed easy enough. Wouldn't mind doing more.
