Dude, I am 100% on the side of tech in this equation. There are 50 reasons why superior range and everything else makes them better.

But. Lightsabers.

just imagine if in REAL life bank robbing crooks are surrounded by cops with guns and they all decide fuck it, a sword should take care of this!

What I would ideally like to do is own something I could drive and live in like one of these converted sprinter vans I see on YouTube like so many others are doing. If I could drive my house around and work on Mturk and do a little side gigs for cash, that would be awesome

Exactly like all those spaghetti westerns . All based on Japanese samurai movies. For example, The Magnificent Seven is the Seven Samurai, by Akira Kurasawa. And all those very famous Eastwood westerns? All samurai movies. They're not 'westerns', they're 'easterns'. The sources are older than our west.

'The Seven Basic Plots' 'Why We Tell Stories' By Christopher Booker 728 pages. Continuum. $34.95.
So what does Steven Spielberg's shark-fest "Jaws" have in common with the Old English epic "Beowulf"? And what do those two stories have in common with "High Noon," "The Guns of Navarone" and most any James Bond movie?

...and how can yall root for captain america hes so booooorriiing lol
Cause it's the story of someone trying to do what's right in a less than perfect world and refusing to compromise his beliefs in order to get by more easily. He's the moral center of the Avengers while everyone else is more shades of grey. Thor's selfish, Stark's self-absorbed, Black Widow's literally a spy and assassin, etc. Sometimes it's nice to have someone who's just unreservedly good even if it puts them at odds with the world around them.

when i watch a movie and someones in danger, I try to think, "what would I do to get out of this?" and if I know someone has a gun, theres no way they should be sword fighting. It just makes me anygry.

I HATED that scene in Captain america Civil war where the heroes fight each other. I knew they would all pull their punches no one would die, making the scene pretty lame.
No wonder our love life is such a bore.

its not fantasy? what is fantasy then?
It's in space, it has aliens, it doesn't just have monarchies but political systems that more closely reflect real life, it's set in the future and has elaborate technology. Yes, it's obviously fictional, but that doesn't make it fantasy. Science fiction and fantasy are not the same thing.

You know there's more than one Avenger, right?
Cap's not necessarily my fav, but I've come to appreciate over time how he does like that Harry Potter quote - he does the right thing, not the easy thing.

I like Thor, but if you mean for other than obvious beefcake-y reasons...probably Hawkeye or Black Widow.

So I'm gonna go do my homework and let you explain it, because you're killing it today. No sarcasm, just nerd respect. Thanks.

THE CROWD WORKER IS COMMITTING RIDICULOUS ERRORS
When I saw that email I had done maybe a thousand hits across all requesters for the entire year. I'm sorry that you moved on to new people after I ghosted you Vicky but you don't need to yell at me about how lame they are.
