Hello all...been stalking you from afar for a couple of days. Decided I would join up and say hello.

Seconded. They are light, and fun, but I've stayed up till 3am with books in that series before.

I have read every book in the series, even the ones on the periphery, multiple times. I love them all. They get a little less light as they get deeper into teh series, but Captain Vorpatril's Alliance really takes it back to the fun, lightheartedness of the early books.

I've seen a couple of these and they're great, hilariously dark.

1 or 2 I didn't get into but, Rats and Cats are pretty awesome. Pigeons is pretty funny too.

Agreed. The amount of different themes the series covers is incredible. It's on my list of series that I'm constantly checking to see if and when a new book is coming out.

I wouldn't even focus on when it happens. You're just setting yourself up for disappointment.

I expect my wifes account with 11k hits done to get it before mine.

They have a few omnibus additions but I believe, between novellas and full novels, it's up to 22 different stories.

theer are two earlier books about how is mother and father get together and the turmoil surrounding his birth. Then the warrior's apprentice stars something like 18 years later. There's probably 10 more after that including side stories involving prominent characters from the main story line.

random question: my little sister used to have this iridescent bottle of magic stuff that we sprayed on her hair and it turned her curls super shiny and just gorgeous. I wanted to buy her some more but I have no idea how to find this or something like it and "shiny hair spray" and whatnot is not finding anything on google that I recognize.

Anyone have recommendations?
