Where I live there's a very polite old Asian man that comes in his bike every early morning and picks up bottles and cans from the garbage to turn in for recycling money. You've got to admire that kind of hustle.

There's a guy that goes around with his truck on garbage day (or the day before) looking for metal stuff. Guess he's taking it to the recyclers for money.
