Thanks for the advice. I do do surveys pretty often, though you're right that I could do them more often. I do have daily goals set as well. $5 is my daily goal, which has been working out pretty well for the most part.

Yea also if you see multiple surveys go up you can queue them and do them one after another so you don't lose out on them. But yea try and power out to 1k hits itll only get better from there. I would suggest turkfaces which i did like 5k hits of but dont think they are around anymore

If you are in a face-2-face class, I have a suggestion that might help you and your teacher. The development over the last 6 years of Open-Education Textbooks has been a big thing in many colleges and I found two low-cost possible substitutions. Approach your professor (and ideally a group of you should) and ask if you can work with them to pilot an OER textbook alternative for the class. If they say yes, suggest these two texts and offer to assist in helping them line up the texts with the course objectives. We instructors are always frustrated by the difficulties expensive textbooks put on our courses and I personally try to find low-cost alternatives for my students:

Definitely give it a shot, I know with my online classes changes are harder to make in texts because we get our course shells from instructional designers, but at some of the schools I've worked at they've let me determine the course content, at the very least try this:

Dear Prof X,
I know that it is hard on you when students need to wait like me to get a text weeks after the course has started, even if we cannot pilot this as an alternative text, perhaps we can work together to adapt this text to allow students to keep up until financial aid is available.
