Best advice I can give you all is:

1) Max out as much as you can the first 10 days AS FAST AS YOU CAN. But be safe with what you choose. Check the TO like a hawk.
2) Use your time to learn how TurkMaster, Hit Scraper, and Hit Monitor work.
3) Read this forum and soak up every morsel of advice from all the Pros on here.

I just started 4/15/2016. I got extremely lucky my first two days and found some big hits nobody else was touching, but it helped because I had worked in that industry before. Other than that, it was the survey grind....

yea i been doing this on and off for a while. now it has to become a job like thing cause i am now desperate(due to becoming single mom) so im trying todo what i can, kwim? i have most scrips. still learning with panda. most the time i survey grind.

I know surveys get a bad rap, but I don't really do batches, and I can regularly hit $20-30 a day mostly on surveys. And I don't sit at my computer all day. Be selective, set your HS to scrape higher paying/good TO surveys, and you can make a lot.

It can take time to really figure out what works best for you. But as long as you have the work ethic, you'll get there.

Once you get a foundation of knowledge (knowing which are good requesters, getting comfortable using scripts, learning how to read if a survey will be quick/will give a good bonus/will grant a beneficial qual, getting some favorite batches to always look out for) and start building off of that you'll find you improve pretty rapidly. There's definitely a learning curve that comes with MTurk. This forum will help A LOT, but major improvement will come from learning by experience. So, don't get discouraged!

Pay attention when someone posts a qual HIT.

Sometimes, nothing great will come of it (this is mTurk, after all), but occasionally, you'll get in on something worthwhile.
