The game eats battery life but surprisingly very very low data usage.

Is it still a good deal at $55 instead of $45? That's what the Walmart site lists it as.

be careful and make sure that whatever version of android that comes on the phone is new enough for pokemon go's requirements. my bf has a cheap android phone and it hasn't gotten a new enough version of android pushed to it so he can't download pokemon go. i have an iphone so this doesn't matter to me and i don't really understand android versions but thought i'd mention

Forgive me but I am really impressed with this. For years we were told animals can't reason or think. Well this is quite impressive.

Crows have even been shown to employ deception after perpetrating theft on one another. Koko the gorilla has learned to honestly communicate with over 1000 words in sign language... and even lied by blaming her pet kitten for ripping a sink out of a wall.

Theres 3 teams.

Red - Valor

Blue - Mystic

Yellow - Instinct

You fight over the gyms to control them. If its an enemy teams color you battle the pokemon in there with your own and if you win you take it over. If its a gym from your own team you can bolster it with one of your pokemon and make it harder for other teams to take it.

The people could be there or they could be elsewhere, its not really required.

If you have a pokemon at a gym, every X hours you get free pokecoins and other items.

Animals can have surprising intelligence. I know more than a few adults who wouldn't figure this problem out.

yes, once you hit level 5 you pick team red or if you are failure you can be team blue and last there is yellow if you enjoy team hufflepuff, nobody cares about them.

At 5 you can take over a grey gym and post one of your Pokemon there and it will bet he gym leader it stays there to defend the gym from other people like you who come and try and take the gym if your Pokemon is defeated the gym becomes neutral again and then can take it over. If you fight gyms of your own color you can "level them up" once they level up ( 1-8 ) teams of the same color can station extra pokemon at the gym so say a lvl 5 gym will have 4 other pokemon at it and then the gym leaders pokemon. If you hold a gym for 20 hours you get coins to buy things from the shop and stardust to level your pokemon

i'm so out of the loop when it comes to these things. i never even knew pokemon was a game. i always thought it was a tv show that died out sometime in the early aughts.

New generation coming out in November. Its nintendos biggest money maker I'm pretty sure.

The last few games came out during college and a lot of people on campus played and traded during the release month. Was pretty cool.

I turned that off super quick. Pokeball catches are now first throw and my battery thanks me for it

Pretty sure I'm getting Moon. Depends on version exclusives... but I think the moon legendary is stronger.
