Requesters can find out how much they're paying per hour without people telling them, especially on surveys.

In an analytical sense, this is one of many ways to gather information about what would be considered fair.

Using only one (extremely limited and variable) avenue of analysis lends itself to incomplete conclusions. Being specific in feedback is more useful as part of the whole than a singular timer that is, in itself, something that is not always accurate ("cooking" etc)

There was a survey earlier that said they wanted to study people engaging in economic games for public benefit rather than self interest. It paid $2.50 and was 30 minutes long.

So they're biasing their sample with low pay and then publishing about it.

But she said that the metric was hourly pay and that a $10 survey for 20 minutes was too high and a $12 survey for over an hour was fine. Another reason (along with the lack of response from many other requesters in the past) not to give feedback. It takes time and doesn't typically yield results and others will do it most of the time if there's really a reason. Or you can pay @Jaded to do your feedback for you.

This is part of the problem

The very definition of feedback includes a basis of working to improve upon a product or service

Without feedback, there is no exchange of relevant information

Feedback wasn't needed on this as the preview page said 60-90min.
It was just a case of a requester putting up work that is not up to their usual standard.

Either way, I'm clocking out of this debate.
I just said to someone that a survey was terrible and now it's become a large distraction to my work day.

What I do, in my tofu scramble, is I'll chop some onion, some garlic, and some bell peppers and depending on how I am feeling, and what I have on hand, I'll toss in some mushrooms to salute along with it. I'll either add spinach or kale, then with some really drained firm to extra firm tofu (or the superfirm ready to cook tofu I discovered the other day at Albertsons) I'll crumb it in along with seasoning , turmeric (gives it color and really bomb flavor), black pepper, etc, with either some soy sauce, a bit of red pepper or hot sauce for some kick. Allow to cook together to really to get the flavors all through it.
