Yeah, about that HD antenna...bought one, have it on the TV in my bed room that has the cord cut. I can't get two of the channels I watch regularly. The signal isn't strong enough here, even with a good antenna. So...I just live in a shitty area, lol!

I was paying $185 for internet, home phone and DirecTv. Now I'm just paying $79 for waaaaaaay faster internet and basic cable. For now that's a win, lol. After a year it will go up to $100...but the majority of that is for the internet access.

Fair enough. Some antennas are better than others but it is fairly location dependent. Down here the broadcasting towers basically blanket the LA basin with signal so its not too hard to pick up a boat load of channels

I hope you finally get it. So much cheaper than hughesnet too! I don't miss the 5 second delay I had with Hughesnet. Also, if it stormed really bad it would go out on me.

They might suck but they still provide internet to people that wouldn't otherwise have internet at all

and charge them $100 per month for doing it. In Michigan, at the time, Google provided free dial up to anywhere within the state so Hughesnet was truly not offering anything of relative value in comparison. They absolutely lied about their speeds and data caps to get people to sign up. The most fun part was having to climb on my roof to dismantle the dish hardware to send back to them so they wouldn't charge my checking account a $400 fee.
