It does seem like it would be fascinating to try, but I don't think I could ever justify spending the money on it.

Interesting. I bet, in a couple hundred years or so, it will be very difficult for some people to trace their lineage, due to having hipsters in their family tree.

My grandmother is a family tree freak. Has traced my family back 100s of years BEFORE the internet. I literally just has to send her an update on grandkids yesterday.

My grandmother is a family tree freak. Has traced my family back 100s of years BEFORE the internet. I literally just has to send her an update on grandkids yesterday.

My Grandpa is the same. Has basically a book's worth traced back to Queen Anne days on my Mom's side.

My brother did the DNA tests @aveline to get more info for my Dad's side. I paid for half since it would be the same for both of us. Very interesting and worth it IMHO. We did the health reports too.

It is very hard for me to trace mine, I had two different Grandparents that had their last names changed at Ellis Island.

My last name is on a building at [redacted Ivy league school], named for my great-grandfather.
