I got my Pointer and English Setter from a shelter. I've never met people less knowledgeable about dogs then the folks that worked at that place. Despite the two dogs looking nothing alike the staff insisted they were both pure bred springer spaniels. Neither of them looked like springer spaniels either so I'm not sure how they settled on that breed

They were on hold for a week and had to be fixed before I could adopt them so for a week I played along. The place was shady and I just wanted to get the dogs out of there. When I went to pick them up after they got fixed they are suddenly labeled pure bred Pointer and pure bred English Setter. Shelter you're pushing that pure bred thing a bit hard for dogs you couldn't identify a week ago
