Hello everyone, good morning!

I'm sorry for this random post not involving turking, but I just found a box with a litter of kittens, apparently abandoned. I'm feeling bad for them because they've been crying for a while now. I just don't have any clue as to how I should proceed since I don't have any experience dealing with cats so young(less than a day old).

Do any of you have any tips or pieces of advice?

Before feeding, make sure they are warm enough, otherwise they can't digest the food. Find kitty milk if you can and feed them with a kitty bottle (syringe is risky because they can get the milk in their lungs and develop pneumonia). When you feed them keep them in a normal cat position (not on their back like we do with human babies) because again, milk can go into the lungs.
Clean their bottom areas after every feeding until they make their businesses (this is what a mama cat would do for them).
Feeding them every two hours if they are very small.
If there is no kitten milk available for you to buy asap, there are some homemade recipes as well.
Also try to find a mama cat to adopt them while they are so small .

Yeah, that's what led me to believe that they were abandoned. The kittens were wrapped inside a blanket in a fancy looking box. It doesn't have signs that a cat put them there.

If you can't bottle feed them yourself, the kindest thing to do is either find a rescue or simply bring them to the animal shelter. There are no fees to surrender pets or strays. In our area, the SPCA has a foster program with people on standby to take them. Their chances of survival drop quickly if they go without milk/formula that young.

I would imagine with being kittens they also have the highest chance of someone adopting them. That's more for when they're a couple of weeks old but still.
