I had a panic attack at the doctor's office once and he walked in and said "When are you going to be done with this?" Then he lectured me on medications and how he knew about anxiety because he treats people with it even though he doesn't have it.

My husband and I just heard a loud thump outside so we went out to see what it was. All the neighbors were out and everyone was asking "did you hear that?!". Turns out a medium sized branch fell off our giant tree onto our neighbors fence. So we picked it up and went on with our lives.

Anyway, it was the most exciting thing that happened to me all day.

Yup. Been there. Sooooo sorry. Doctors usually are busy planning what they are going to say next so they can't listen. The ones who do listen usually don't care.

My daughter's doctor was lovely. We had a friend who worked in the local hospital and he would go onto the unit and the first question he would ask the NURSES is what do you think is going on with this patient.

When my daughter broke her collar bone he looked at the very minor discoloration and said, see, it's broken (no x-ray). He charged me $25 dollars. When she cut her chin open he put on a bandage - you could see her chin bone. But, as he explained, I could put in a few stitches.......but skin grows backwards, so in a few years you'll never notice it.

And we didn't. Also $25 or so dollars. And no trauma for my daughter.

When I moved out to the boonies I got a new doctor, poor kid, he was just out on his own and looking for patients. I questioned him for an hour about why he should be my doctor. I love him, he diagnosed my husband after being he was misdiagnosed for almost 10 years and also me. I adore him.
