noob mistake. I did a survey and got rejected for "spent less than 15 seconds on the survey". What happened is that I looked at the HIT in preview mode, clicked the link before hitting "accept", then did the survey. When I got back to the HIT to put in my code, it was still in preview mode so I hit "accept" since it was still available and then put in my code. I emailed requester what I did and why it was so short but who knows if she'll reverse the rejection or not.

I looked at them about an hour ago, but they seemed pretty meh at 10c. I guess he felt he was paying too much though because he just reposted them at 8c. I definitely wouldn't do them for that pay.

Yep, I had similar thoughts. He also doesn't have many reviews on TO or TV.

Did anyone try the HITs from James Grugett?

looks like a sucker HIT since I tried a practice one in preview. Twitch.tv interface stinks, I don't use twitch and I don't see anywhere obvious that you would be able to find the info requested.

There were some penny ones from medium to higher rated requesters earlier in the day I didn't do for a lot of the same reasons (reasons of being able to find the info they wanted). I did a few of the requesters things on one task but gave up because many sites were 404 dead or the event had passed making the task impossible.

Didn't do a real estate one because more steps were added to the task and the pay was decreased from the last time I did them. Plus that requester doesn't have any ratings/reviews and hasn't approved my work from almost a week ago so I don't know if he's trustworthy or a stiffer.

I wish requesters would try doing a few of their requests before throwing it on mturk.- real estate one had incomplete instructions for part of the task based on the quick test I did to see if it was doable, some HITS are just broken like you accept the task and get an error instead of the page with the instructions and input fields for the data you need to provide, and others have a lot of info that isn't findable or is a 404 links making it tough for a worker to be able to find a working task with all the needed data without fear of rejection for trying to say the link is bad or the info requested isn't available because the event has passed or its not info you normally find on a webpage..

yep, only went from 1.25% rejection to 1.48% rejection rate with that rejection but if requesters will get their act together and approve the 80 pending ones I have, I should be ato make my rejection number go very low and hopefully get over 99% acceptance rate.
