that's right you live in Calli. i would love to live out there (been twice on vacation). love the atmosphere. just the living cost

It would be hard on a turking wage although I know some people do it. You'd have to find roomies for sure and be in a more value city. Definitely not like LA. I love it here. The diversity and difference in cultures and the weather and great things to do make it a wonderful place. If you end up getting a standard job they tend to pay more than other places but you might have to supplement your income

Rent where I live right now is $475 a month for a 1 bedroom apartment. I think some of bigger apartments in the building go for $500 - $550. Utilities included except for internet, and it comes with a parking spot. But the walls are thin and you can hear everything, it's always kinda cold and you can't control your thermostat, and you have to live in the UP with absolutely nothing around you for miles. But still. I don't know how people survive in places where the rent is so high.

1 bedroom apartments in my building here in San Diego go for something close to 1150 or 1200 a month. Small apartment, thin walls, can see and hear all your neighbors, busy and noisy traffic and moderate-high crime area.
