Poor Squatty @Squatty takes the time to let everyone know the secrets to scripting and gets this to thank for. And you wonder why people don't like to share secrets.
All joking aside that thread was super helpful, I have it bookmarked, and if asked I could reasonably pretend like I know how to script

That's insane! Good God.
I was lucky. My mom knew the owner when I moved in here, so I got a break. I've paid my rent on time for all the years I've lived here, so I get to stay. The problem is that I can't qualify to move anywhere else as I don't meet the income requirements.

yeah same thing with cities like portland just ask W @WalkingEmphasis all the folks with ok money that lived in norcal moved there and drove the prices up. I have a few friends in the austin area and one in houston. Cool cities. I've been to sxsw in austin a few years ago and it was a lot of fun. I'd say you'll probably enjoy cities like LA, san francisco / san jose , portland, seattle. Great sprawling fun cities with lots to do. Definitely cities that appeal to folks in their 20s and 30s. After that it might get boring :p
i heard portland is an awesome place. i love road tripping to Austin as well. And I've been to LA and also absolutely loved it. If I'm ever in your area or you're in Texas... maybe we could have a couple drinks bless

1 bedroom apartments in my building here in San Diego go for something close to 1150 or 1200 a month. Small apartment, thin walls, can see and hear all your neighbors, busy and noisy traffic and moderate-high crime area.
I live in Del Mar.... Try $1900/mo for a 1 bedroom.

Stuff like this genuinely pisses me off. Having a place to live should not be so expensive.

You all should move to Michigan. You can buy a house here cheaper than you could rent a house in 90% of the country.

My wife and I bought our 2,000 sq ft 6 bed, 2 bath house on an acre for $49,900. Our mortgage payment, with zero down, was under $500 a month including insurance and taxes.
