I finally got in on one of these Stanford HCI allocation HITs and did 4 groups in the first 50 minutes. Now it's just hanging on the Almost ready screen for a 5th one and the timer has sailed right past the estimated 55 minute average. I'm in for another 10 minutes if I get assigned to another group and I have no idea what they actually bonus on these. Anybody know what the average bonus is?

Zero, for me. Out of 5. Your mileage may vary.

Thanks for letting me know. I'm getting tired of busted HITs taking up more of my time than they need to. Is 4 the number of groups that you need to participate in for completion?

As many are justifiably heaping praise upon @aveline for successfully migrating the forum to the new server, for which I too am very grateful, I'd like to take a moment to recognize an additional masterful maneuver that she pulled-off in the past 24 hours...

The forum Arcade

By adding the Arcade to the forum, she's capitalized upon both the competitive nature and obsessive compulsive tendencies of several Turkers. Thereby enabling them to spend excessive amounts of time competing for high scores at Snake and Bejeweled, instead Turking. This has effectively decreased the number of Turker2 giving 100% to Turking, and thus decreasing her competition for grabbing HITs.

She's playing 4-chess while the rest of us are merely playing checkers.


I've let 3 HIT timers run out, and probably earned a rejection or two in the last hour... but totally worth it.

LOL I was gonna say the same thing last nite as i was up all nite till 5 am playing the arcade instead of turking

I didn't realize that Stanford HCI was the one with the Will Bang qualification either.

Yes, I completed 4 and then it hung on the last one. Kept the screen up and eventually it said submit hit.
