Most surveys I've taken have informed me if the bonus was real or if they wanted me to act like it was, but rarely used deception on that end. What do you think?

Maybe unethical a little bit. I know which one you are talking about though. Surveys are always trying to trick people.

If they "lie" about the actual incentive but then give a flat bonus I don't see an issue. Otherwise that's just a dick move.

I think I just finished this survey. I suspected it was fake, just because of the $$ amount, but I still think it's a shitty survey design. They should at least pay SOME bonus.
