Well ok, you know you have had a survey with a long timer sitting in your queue for a long time when it starts giving you the yellow highlighted time left at 59 minutes.

I didn't realize the highlighting was for a certain percentage of the total time left and not just "Yo, you have like 15 mins left on this thing! Get cracking, Turker!"

what does audit courses mean? There is a couple of courses I like to take,but the audit part is a new term for me.

also, the prof. doesn't read your work (if you submit anything.....which most people who audit don't)

Does anyone have any suggestions in terms of classes one could take online that are free, or close to free, that will let you work in a job sector in which you can work from home? Sorry if it's off topic but I've been looking into furthering my education.

Have you looked at flexjobs.com? They list online jobs and you can get ideas from the site. Also you might just find something you could do right off. I used it about 2 years ago, and, miracle of miracles, got an actual job. Part time.

Audit means you have access to the course materials, but won't earn a certificate. You also don't get to take part in peer grading or have some tests graded. It's still possible to do the assignments and tests. You can still use the community board for a class to ask questions and get help.

I quite enjoy working from home honestly, I am serious considering turning my new loft room into an office though. This turking with a laptop on the couch seems to not be the way to maximize earnings..I'm seriously considering in a few months when I have some excess income going out and getting some new equipment like a big desk a new desktop and a couple of monitors see if that setup increases my earnings as I've heard many say it will.

Im trying to figure out a solution for her but I dont know if there is one for digital items. When you send a digital giftcard to someone through amazon it comes with a unique keycode. Im not sure if you can ever take it back or send it to another person, even if the person who got the giftcard dosent redeem it. So its stuck in limbo essentially, it either doesnt get applied to the account or it does but either way I dont think there is a way for her to get it back. I only did like 10 minutes of research so I could be super wrong but I think you can only return physical gifts through amazon, not digital ones like giftcards. I would say just hold onto it for now.

If you wanted to, you could probably just give her the code and she could claim it in her personal gift card balance. It's not the same, but it's also not entirely losing $20 here and $20 there.

ETA - once the gift card is "claimed" by entering the numbers in an account, I don't think you can get it back.

I do that sometimes but then I realize I'd likely be gone hours I don't want to be gone etc etc.
