To be honest, I have sworn at my son a couple of times when I was REALLY pissed off. I am not one to lose my temper. It takes a lot to set me off. I mean, a lot.ahh, good. glad it's not just around here. and it's definitely not at him, just around him. I think I've cursed at him once and that was when he was about a foot and a half from being run over by a huge 4 door pickup because he wriggled out of my grasp and took off. and that was only because he scared the hell out of me.
But, like all kids, mine figured out where the really big hot buttons were and pushed them when he was little and out popped the word Fuck at him more than once.
He has stopped doing that as a teenager because if you get me that mad, I will lay down the law and enact serious consequences and he wants to avoid those at all cost. I'm fucking mean as hell if I have to be, and he never wants to see that side of me. (I'm not scary, I'm not going to hurt him, I just have a lot of education in psychology and I know how to make a consequence really, really mentally painful in a non-abusive way, lol.)
