if you dont wanna do that maybe pair a cheap bluetooth speaker to you comp and just have that in another room

there's an idea. I have a bluetooth wireless speaker. haven't thought of pairing it with the PC until you mentioned it and see if I can mirror the audio through the speaker after pairing. I am concerned about the range (having assumed bluetooth devices were meant for wireless short-range like 10 foot use) but not only would this be fun to try it would be experimental and those are the kinds of things I love to do and I might be pleasantly surprised if the range was more like 50 feet and could get to the kitchen/backyard patio table!
