I did go to a shoe store to get my shoes I have now, but they are specifically for walking. So maybe a walking shoe isn't the same as a standing shoe?

The people I know who need to stand all day often wear highly cushioned walking shoes or work clogs - they look like crocs, you can google nursing clogs. You could also try getting custom inserts for your shoes (those dr. scholl ones aren't great). Daily posture/back exercises for 10 minutes in the morning also might help.
