I'm pretty sure it was, but I didn't think there were any native to KY (and still don't, I hate spiders too much to look it up because I know there will be pictures).

I always immediately go for the extreme measures. I'm not taking the chance of losing it.

It was probably a wolf spider. I see them from time to time (I also live in KY).
