And you may be just as weird as I am.
Actually in different circumstances, we could have been working together. I was groomed, at a young age, for codes, ciphers, logic, game theory, etc. I was in this program called "Elements of Math." It was the same 7 of us through middle school, and then on to high school. It was so new that only one teacher could teach it. She actually had to move on to high school when we did. We were the only class. Basically, we covered in a week, what other classes did in a semester. My first semester, for instance, had 9 books that we did, consecutively. It was pretty neat. If ever there were a set up for a real life sci fi show, this would be it. 6 of the sharpest minds in the school, and the Outkast. I wasn't even supposed to be there. The person, who's slot I took, was having trouble with the spacial reasoning part of the test. I was looking over his shoulder, jealous that he had hard work. I helped him complete it. When he turned it in, the proctor threw it in the trash and made me test. They only took 7 out of 25 of us. 99th percentile. It was one of my fonder memories of school.:)

So, have any of you night owls worn Crocs? If so, are they REALLY comfortable, like people say? Or are they just kinda comfortable and people are playing it up so it sounds like they have an excuse for wearing clown shoes? If you wear/wore them, which model were they? Sorry y'all. I don't normally waffle over any decision but, under $30 for a pair of ultra comfy shoes almost seems too good to be true.

EDIT With my new standing desk, my feet are starting to ache a bit:( and I thought this may be a solution. I have worn chef clogs of the Dansko variety, as well as a couple of knock off brands. Danskos were good but, for $110, they better be.
So, since there are more people on, anyone have an opinion on Crocs? Model, etc. See quote.:)

EDIT I know they are dumb looking.

Game theory: wow! There are elements for a book there. "The Six" or "The Seven."

I have no idea how I wound up on the codes/ciphers end of stuff. I think I just tested really well. (Seems to have run in the fam; Dad and one brother also worked for the same agencies I did.)

Not to be all "A Beautiful Mind" but, it does, usually take a certain type of person/mind. I'm guessing it may carry in the family. Plus, you lived in a house that, even subconsciously, reinforced those qualities.:)

OK, so my take on Crocs. I would wear them with thick fuzzy socks (to make them even MORE attractive) around the house. With hardwood floors they got a little slippery sometimes. Personally, I much prefer a well fitting pair of tennis shoes. Crocs are great, tough, for working in the garden, slipping on and off easily, kids wear the crap out of them in the summer.
