I'm certainly not paid for any communication. I was and am trying to help the community by sharing what the staff at MTurk have told those of us they've reached out to.

That's my point. You want to do it for decent reasons, but aren't being compensated for communication of potentially professional information.

It isn't fair to you, and it's cheap of Amazon, and they can probably easily exploit you.

Gonna be honest.. nope.. 25 dollars for the day isn't even close to my goal.

I also think requesters that want you to do the work and then return the hit if you didn't find what they are looking for are scum bags. I don't care about the returns themselves as much as my hourly and the work I'm performing that isn't being paid for.

But it is being paid for, in the price of the HITs that you submit, which presumably is higher than it would be if you could submit N/A.

Yes... that would be better, not the best option because it wouldn't reach everyone... but direct communication that can be tracked and recorded would be an actual "good" starting point.

Exactly. Obviously, they should *start* with the big forums. Then eventually move to a site-wide format. I'd actually prefer them starting with the forums because we're essentially the "power users," or "power workers." We're not the authority, but we have experience that others might not.
