i got to give amazon credit on one of the new "improvements" even though it is not an improvement, just bringing something back from before. Letting foreign requesters submit work, i've done quite a bit of easy surveys with no to this week without any trouble. Seeing a big uptick in surveys this week.

I hope they eventually let requesters from all non-US countries post HITs, rather than just a few.

I'm really hoping that things will start to pick up as more people find out about that. I always felt like the amount of available work really took a big hit when they kicked all of those requesters out.

I agree. Now only if amazon will lower the requester fee. They should make workers pay some amount of money because for one it will get rid of a lot of the scammers and two we should see a pay raise in our wage. My two cents anyways.

I'm confused how making workers pay to use MTurk would get rid of scammy requesters or lead to an increase in my own earnings.

A lot of scammers will get exposed right away so paying a fee will probably hurt them a lot and make scamming not worth it thus eliminating them. If workers paid a fee in order to lower the requester 40% fee we will see requesters offer more money for their hits.

We already pay through lower wages. Whether requesters and workers split the fee costs or requesters pay the whole thing and lower wages to compensate, there's still the same amount of money being exchanged. There wouldn't be any difference.

Go to your HITs assigned to you, there's a link there to contact them.
No, there wasn't. Once I clicked the last arrow on the last page, it was gone.
