i don't know much about the culture of computational linguistics as a field

(only slightly related to your actual post: OMG! I just went back to college, and before the current political dystopia came to pass I was actually planning to go back for a linguistics undergrad to prepare for a comp ling grad degree. However, then stuff happened, and I kinda felt like it was no longer wise to take 4+ years to become employable. I still find myself squeeing whenever the subject comes up, sorry about that)

but normally whoever reviewed the paper would just have had to consider stuff like whether this research made a contribution to advancing knowledge, i don't think ethics would be high up on their list of things to think about.

See, it took more than one read-through of your posts to realize you were commenting on ethics - I thought you were talking about the quality of the sentences My mistake, what you say here makes sense.

Sweatshirt = sitting at home on the couch.


That's my broken logic.

I leave my house every single day in a (zip up, cough) hoodie. I do the total "driving my kid to school before I've had a shower" mom look every single morning.

But with my new silk pillowcase, my hair now looks awesome tumbling all over that hoodie.

Yea I only played like half a match on early access before I lost interest.
Battlefield just ain't what it used to be.

Put like 300 hours in BF3, 200 hours in BF:BC and about 100 in BF 1943 for reference.
