PSA: Do not use a debit card to buy shit anymore. Debit cards should be put in the sock drawer and left alone, anything bought should be bought with a credit card (which comes with a bunch of rights). If I need cash Ii'll walk in the bank to a teller and have them give it to me. Had my identity stolen once and it wasn't fun and took a year t o get my credit back to good shape again. If I could find the dirty SOB who stole it, I would probably choke them to death
If you ever find out who the SOB is, let me know and I'll help you choke them to death. Of course ... I'd expect a homemade dinner.

Say, during WWII in the Pacific, who manned the landing craft/LSTs, etc, for the Marines; any idea? I know the Coast Guard (bless their hearts) played a large part in such landings (at least in Europe).

I'd pay cash before I'd get a credit card. That's just me though.
credit card just a tool, and like any tool can be abused without care, I like the cash back cards, it's how I fund a lot of our vacations. But I can see your point as well, everyone's different and that makes the world great.

Reward points. They rock. That's why I used credit cards.

having a credit score as well. My mom made me get one at 18, to start working on it. When I went to buy this car in January the salesperson was almost dumbfounded how good my credit was. it can be helpful, for sure. also, carecredit has been my friend with vet bills. no interest on certain terms.

when each of my kids turned 16 I added them as authorized users on a few of my longest history cards. ( without giving them the card though). Each were well over 720 by the time they turned 18

I know I just kinda hang around here and I'm not any kind of good at being social. I wanted to ask your opinions on direct sales but decided I had nothing to lose anyway. I mean the $200 I nothing aside from that.

Still, any horror stories I should heed?

yeah I think I was an added user on two cards for my mom as well. I seriously had like 780 when I went to get my car, lol. I've had one credit card through my bank for a while and I never carry a balance but use it (cash rewards) and they just jack the limit up every six months.

The only credit card I have is for pet vet emergencies. I've never had an issue using a debit card. I try to do my bills on auto pay so I don't have to use a card over and over every month. I keep cash for groceries so I stay within budget. It's a good routine so far.

We always pay Bearnie's vet bills with the credit card and pay it off the same month. The reward points are choice for sure.

We named a unit of measurement, " a bearnie," and it's 2500 dollars.

Did you want to go on a vacation this month? haha, no. I suddenly feel weird. Pew Pew, gimme all your money for steriods and wet food.
