Yes, this happens. The circumstances are bit different in this case due to the biter being one of the owner's kids. Meaning: he is superior, you are all wrong, this is your problem not mine or my kids'.

That's true - he wouldn't be able be as ambitious in his career if I were working too. I'm pretty much always OK with him going (with or without me) to speaking engagements and working extra in the evenings and whatnot. I tend to lump myself into the same dependent category as the kids but I do contribute more than they do


He submits talks to soooo many - I'm not sure if there's a JS conference in Indiana though!
He's got kansas city coming up (whole family is going because my sister lives there, yaay!), NYC again, florida, wisconsin, and I think utah.... and he's already been to 10 or so this year. I am super proud of him, my own issues aside.

I totally get it, mine traveled for years with racing, the limelight isn't so great on the other side of it.

My goddaughter kept getting bitten by a boy way older than her in elementary school. We kept complaining and nothing much happened. I may have accidentally given her sketchy advice...she ended up whacking this kid with her harry potter book when he tried it again. I've never been more proud she stood up for herself/simultaneously horrified that I gave my goddaughter the idea to use a book as a weapon... and that I had to go down to her school with her dad cause she proudly credited me with this idea. Ewps.

Mind you, the boy left her alone after that and the little lady has not had a single issue with bullies anymore (she skipped a few grades and is extremely small compared to most of the kids because of it). I still told her not to weaponize books in the future. No hitting and all that.

A+ godparenting right there. I think I totally deserve my best godmom mug.
